May 20, 2008 – NEW YORK CITY – GIL Publications is announcing the release of its third fatherhood book, On the Outside Looking In: Hope for Separated Fathers Who Want To Be Good Fathers, a no non-sense approach to help separated-fathers be successful parents.
On the Outside Looking In was written by Akili Kumasi to present a Christian perspective that challenges and encourages men who are separated from their children.
On the Outside Looking In addresses the issues of father-absence. Today over one-quarter of America’s children are separated from their fathers. About half of all marriages end in divorce and over one-third of all babies are born to unwed parents. Social science statistics show that children who grow–up fatherless are more likely to have behavior, social and academic problems. However, much of this can be remedied by separated-fathers having a meaningful and nurturing relationship with their children.
Divorce among Christians is just as prevalent as among non-Christians. Therefore, such a book as On the Outside Looking In is a necessity to help maintain and strengthen fathers and families.
The author, Akili Kumasi, is the founder of the Reconciled Fathers Ministry, an organization dedicated to helping separated-fathers reconcile with their children.
On the Outside Looking In is available from www.GILpublications.com or www.rFathers.org.
For more information, to arrange an interview or speaking engagement, please contact the author, Akili Kumasi, at rFathers.org, info@rFathers.org or call (718) 386-6434.
